BRC Arena Eventing Qualifiers held at Epworth Equestrian on Sunday 25th February 2024.

Well done to all our members who took part in this event. The weather was kind and the course testing, yet fair.  

 We had one team in the 70 class, no team placing but well ridden to Claire Hazeldine, Lindsay Harrison, Emma Tice and a well earnt 3rd from Tracey Brown riding the ever young Rambitino.  

In the 80 class, we had 3 teams, The EMDG Dupers finishing 2nd and the EMDG Whoopers finishing 4th, the EMDG Troopers just missed out on the team placings. Individually, great success. Grace Miller came 2nd, picking up a Championship qualification place, Emma Marsden coming 3rd and Lisa Morgan in 6th place. All our members were fab, thank you. 

In the 90 class, we had a winning team, taking the 1st place team award, so off to the Championships. Emma Thorpe finishing on a zero score also taking 2nd place individually, Hettie Burnell, Lisa Hatfield and Amber Major making up the winning team. Well done everyone.

The 100 team was down to 2 riders at the start of play, due to jockey injuries before the event, both mending nicely I hope, our 2 remaining riders came 1st and 2nd, what an achievement, Nicola Whitmore taking 1st place on 0.4 faults, followed so closely by Millie Bowes Hall on 0.8 faults. Fingers crossed for a wild card for Millie to attend Championships with Nicola.

Thank you, not only to our jockeys, but also volunteers and helpers from EMDG and Area 16, it was a super day, running to time with John and Cheryl from Epworth Equestrian being the amazing hosts they are. Thank you. Cath Cox
